#0004 - 10/24/2023 - Late News: Wolverine and Little Thunder at the Roger’s Centre.
Around the end of September as part of the Prismatic Arts Festival (Step.28 - Oct.8), Mi’kmaq artist Alan Syliboy displayed an animated 10-min short movie called Wolverine and Little Thunder: An Eel Hunting Adventure at the Roger’s Square in Halifax. I was the lead animator and animation director for that project. Helping me with the animation were Timothy Allenby and Jeremy Donovan, and we worked on the project between 2017 - 2019. Of course like most things, COVID-19 delayed the release of the movie; In fact, they were just recording and mixing the audio right around the time lockdowns started. Anyways, they were able to play the movie on a 24-hour loop on the big hanging screens at the Roger’s Square. I was able to see it as I was going to karaoke one night, and I gotta say, it was really gratifying to see this movie released in the way it did, very cool.
